When I need a the perfect shot, I go to Bing Putney. I've lived in LA for 10 years, which has given me the chance to shoot with multiple photographers. Out of all of them, Bing is the one who not only gave me the most stand-out shots I've ever gotten, but also the most relaxed and *fun* shooting experience from beginning (discussing looks/prep) to end (picking favorites and retouching). I get asked all the time 'who took that shot?' because Bing knows how to create the moment during the shoot then capture it at its strongest. From headshots to editorial fitness pics, his talents make me look my best, while still accurately representing the 'me' that will walk into the room. Bing Putney is a phenomenal photographer. I've been a working television actor for the last 10+ years. Naturally I've had dozens of headshot shoots over the years, but I can honestly say my shoot with Bing resulted in the best headshots I've ever taken. The shots are exceptionally well-lit, flattering, and both representative of how I look and the roles I routinely book. And while the shots are amazing, the shoot itself is a BLAST too. Bing was awesome! Just stop looking and shoot your headshots with this guy. From beginning to end I had a great great experience. Bing was easy to reach before and after the shoot and devoted to helping me get a fantastic final product. Very professional. These are definitely the best headshots I've ever had. The studio he shoots at is very nice, clean, and chill. He's got all the lighting equipment and camera gear needed for any kind of look you're going for. Commercial, theatrical etc. During the shoot we played music I like and I never once felt rushed. I'm an actor not a model and headshots are always weird for me. But Bing was able to help me feel comfortable and guided me into some great looks without myself forcing poses. I had fun! Bottom line, Bing is a genuine guy who will shoot some amazing headshots for you. You won't regret it!

I'm a newbie at this and Bing was a total pro. He knew how to pose me, make me feel comfortable in front of a camera, and had great ideas. My favorite photos were the ones I almost didn't take, but I was lucky that he is so sweet and fun and encouraged me to take them anyway! I've never been happy with my headshots until now!

This was my first headshot session after moving to Los Angeles, and I could not be happier with the results! Bing is a total professional as a photographer and a ton of fun as a person. He was incredibly accommodating regarding specific requests for looks, and once the shoot started he created such a fun and casual atmosphere that my headshots came out totally natural and looked great! This guy is a wizard. That's the best way I can describe his talent as a photographer. After a few not so great experiences with other photographers, I was extremely pleased with my session and resulting photos with Bing. He understands the industry and how to best represent each actor he works with. I can't stress enough his ability to "get the shot" MULTIPLE times in one session. He gives great direction and makes the session relaxed and comfortable. What else can I say?! I had a GREAT experience and the proof is in the pictures!! (Which were very hard to narrow down.)
