Went to bring flowers to The City of Pleasanton's Cemetery
This is what I found. My Uncles grave is the one with the wood on top. He was buried 3 weeks ago! My Brothers has a fresh crack in his marker. I was horrified today when I came to bring flowers for my Great Grandparents, Grandmother, Father, Brother and now recently passed Uncle. How is this acceptable? We paid the City of Pleasanton almost 5 thousand dollars just for the digging and burial and three weeks later this is their fantastic job. Heartbreaking to say the least.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 2 - Harlan R.Pleasanton, CA91635Oct 31, 2023
Driving through Pleasanton on los Positas and the road is so bad I just hit a humongous dip that broke the hitch on my trailer. It flew up and off of the ball. The chains kept it attached, but it was flung around and ultimately slammed into the back of my truck. I used to love Pleasanton, walking down Main Street; you smile at people and they smile back, now there's garbage everywhere, the landscapes are overgrown, half dead and full of weeds and half of the businesses have names that don't describe the business... what the hell is OYO

Pleasanton sits in the East Bay, about 50 miles East of San Francisco, but a world away. Known as the Tri-Valley with Dublin and Livermore, it is surrounded by mountains, Mt. Diablo being its highest peak at 3,849 feet. As a visitor, it appears to be a lovely town with all the amenities you could want for its population of about 80,000. Downton Pleasanton has the look of a classic Main Street, but bougified. It's a delightful stroll past restaurants and shops, day or evening. The Saturday morning Farmers Market is fantastic, with an array of goods not usually seen and should be taken advantage of when here. Pleasant, indeed.

This place does favors for it's friends. They are forcing the taco truck on Vineyard to move because of their friends at Casa Real.
This taco truck has been there for 18 years. Longer than the Casa Real. It operates with a permit on public land. It does not hinder traffic or cause any negative impact.
The owner of Casa Real just said the taco trucks clients didn't dress nice enough to pull over on the side of the road near their establishment.
Pleasanton is a poor crusader for the people and small business. Instead it does favors for developers and other people with money.
Keep it classy Pleasanton. From a life long resident that thinks I will vote differently next local elections.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Laurie Z.Pleasanton, CA21149May 13, 2019
Interesting to read the reviews about the City of Pleasanton harassing a food truck because they are seemingly worried about the image it will give to the city. I have been contacting the city regarding a neighbor's POD unit that they have parked in their driveway on cement blocks ( probably to hide the huge crack in their driveway). They have been blowing me off, saying they will get to it. This POD has been parked in their driveway for 60 plus days and isn't going anywhere soon. I have my house on the market and prospective buyers don't want to live in a community that allows a permanent eyesore. The HOA won't do anything about it although it is a violation of the CC&R's. If the city of Pleasanton won't enforce its own codes, it will just attract people who don't want to maintain their neighborhoods and property values will drop.

I don't know much about Pleasanton except that pass through every morning on my way to work in Sunnyvale.
It seems quaint, quiet and well kept.
They have town events and gatherings that are family orientated along with cute downtown area that has coffee shops, eateries and boutiques.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Sayed H.Tracy, CA02Jun 27, 2017
I had to call your City Office yesterday for a need at one of your park. This is just to let the City of Pleasanton know, that me, my family and all office co-workers appreciate your hard work in keeping the parks as clean as possible.
Special Thanks to Brandon at the park services department.

Love, coming here. Since a couple fairs, have been held here... that I've been too, which all of them where and still fun.. the city itself, is nice. If you want to go to a city, that you don't run into people that you see on a daily basis..

The City of Pleasanton needs to:
1. Create a safer environment for homeowners
2. Improve water quality
3. Not to allow Commercial vehicles (especially Semi Trucks, Back Hoes, Dump Trucks,..) to be parked on Residential streets or in driveways
4. Not to allow businesses that operate outside business hours and generate noise and nuisance to operate from home (A/C services, Concrete Contractors,..)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Mar 1, 2018Previous reviewIf you are coming from the "Bay Area"/Peninsula, you will find Pleasanton residents to be very nice and polite. The prices are much more reasonable as well. In regard to the weather, there are two main seasons, super hot and super cold. Here are some downfalls:
- Out of 48 states and 14 countries that I have been to, Pleasanton has the worst water quality. The issue does not go away even if you install a water filtration system.
- Rules and regulations are not enforced as much. Don't be surprised if yous neighbor parks a semi/dump truck in front of their house when your house is worth more than $2M+
- Safety and security: You definitely need an alarm system - K L.San Francisco, CA10031146219Sep 23, 2006First to Review
I used to wonder why all the service at Pleasanton restaurants was so bad... now I know why: spoiled teenagers.
Apparently, being rich means you can be a jerk-off.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 9Oh no 0
