Stopped by Coco's near my kids' apartment. Read about their positive reviews so I had to try. Loved that they had pork in garlic sauce and Szechuan shrimp. The pork in garlic sauce had all of the right ingredients I love about the dish. Thinly sliced pork, shredded bamboo, cloud ear and of course garlic sauce. I asked them to make it spicy. That was my error. It was very spicy and it took away from the dish. Next time just a tad spicy.
The Szechuan shrimp was good and tasty as well. Probably a bit too much sliced onion for my test but it was all right.
Can't wait to try other dishes on the menu.

If I was just rating on the food, this would be a 10 out of five. Whenever I'm spending the day at OSU, I make sure to stop here, even if it's just for take out. I've tried multiple items, but my favorite is the classic Tofu Pad Thai and the crab Rangoon. The portion size is huge, even with lunch sizes.

The ambiance is typical of a college-town Chinese restaurant, but maybe a little better. The last couple of times I've been there, the soda machine hasn't had the carbonation, the drinks weren't good.

The service is quick, friendly, and makes great for a fast lunch. Ordering ahead is available. Hopefully, you enjoy as much as I do!

Ordered online on a Wednesday around 7 pm. Very easy system to order online. The food was ready in ~15 minutes. The menu was very large and had many options. The prices were pretty reasonable. The portions were very large! I was able to have many meals out of my order of cashew chicken. The sauce and chicken were very good. My meal was ~$13. Overall a good takeout experience!

My friend and I did takeout here a few weeks ago and it was great! He's ordered it before but I was a first timer and it did not disappoint. I ordered Lo Mein with shrimp. It was a generous number of noodles which I was a fan of and the shrimp was some REAL shrimp not some little salad shrimp. The noodles had great flavor and I am definitely coming back. Also the service was super speedy, very convenient.

Cocos is one of the my go to Chinese places since they offer a wide variety of really authentic Chinese dishes.

However, with a wide selection, knowing what to pick is key and I chose to talk about the 3 dishes that I got.

Braised pork belly: the pork belly was well cooked and flavourful. A classic dish that has great balance of meat and fat. I would have braised it a smidge longer to get more flavour into the pork but it is still a very well made dish. Definitely a must try if you have not.

Dan Dan noodles: my expectations of Dan Dan noodles is a noodles dish with minced meat on. Top but their take was noodles with chili oil. Definitely interesting.

Sweet and sour pork ribs: honestly, they did a decent job at balancing the sweet and sour profile but I would have fried the ribs instead of braising it as it was lacking a little crunch but a great dish to whet your appetite nonetheless

Fantastic Szechuan food. Authentic, delicious and spicy. Been looking for good Chinese in Columbus for a long time. Struck gold here.

I love to find a more authentic Chinese restaurant and here i found it. I ordered the beef chili pot with Steamed rice. The taste of this food is phenomenal the spice in this dish was astonishing. It came out fast and hot. Service was excellent. Definitely a 5 star choice for those who venture to try a complex yet simplistic meal.

The best Chinese food in Columbus! It is extremely authentic and everyone is very kind. The two locations are always clean and lots of seating.

I love black bean sauce and CoCo's is on point with fish and black bean sauce. The white rice is exactly what it needs to be. I want to know what type of fish is in this order.

Eggplant is my favorite vegetable. The eggplant dish i ordered is a level too hot for me to enjoy.

Both my parents are Chinese. Went here when they were visiting me in college and loved it. I lived off this in school and now I crave their frog legs dish every so often.
