Fancy Foods

I have not made a review on Yelp in a long time, but this one needed to be done. I came to Fancy Foods looking for some Greek and Croatian food for a Shelter in Place travel cooking session. I was greeted by a masked smile by the warmest , most delightful woman. She happily acknowledged that she herself was from Croatia and happily showed me some of her favorite treats. I could tell that she had some "regulars" at her shop as they came and went and conversed with her as I looked around at all of the delicious treasures. As I checked out, the delightful woman shared some of her favorite Ajvar recipes, some pictures of Croatia and was like the mom everyone loves. I had to refrain from hugging her goodbye, but can't to come back and get some more of those chocolate wafers. Omg... So good! Thank You!

Great store with wonderful Balkan selection of imported food as well as fresh burek and pita available to order! Jasna is the best, very helpful and store has a great selection of Croatian foods

I come here from time to time, as it's far from my house, to purchase all the goods I miss from my childhood and I must add that lady that works here, Jasna, is extremely nice and so welcoming. She adds an extra magic to this place. I leave this place happy. Thank you Jasna for always making me feel special.

This is a little international grocery store in Campbell that is not unlike other stores in the area, like International Food Bazaar on Curtner and Oakmont Produce on Hamilton ( both also in Campbell ). They are a tiny store that has a little bit of everything but therein lies the paradox: this store has a little bit of EVERYTHING, but so little of everything that you really can't come here to make a real shopping trip.

Case in point, I LOVE European chocolate, especially British brands. Oakmont Produce on Hamilton has a veritable plethora of British chocolates but this store only carries TWO BRANDS, yes, TWO BRANDS and neither of them are Cadbury chocolates. Now, ask yourself, what self-respecting international food store would NOT carry at least one brand of Cadbury chocolates? They only had British Lion and Mars bars.

The lady working here ( the owner, I guess ) was nice and attended me well. I don't really think I'll come here again unless I'm in the area and craving either a Mars or Lion bar ( both chocolates I like a lot but I don't go crazy for like Cadbury chocolates! ) .

Great variety of mostly Balkan but some other European foods, affordable prices and extremely friendly.

If there's a Balkan food store within ten miles of me, I'm going. Jasna's service and specialty candy makes this five stars. She was so friendly, and walked me around the store to recommend the best choices for chocolate, coffee, and ajvar. The prices are reasonable considering the cost it takes to import. You can also take 10% off your purchase if you check in on Yelp!

The store is a bit easy to miss, so look out for it in the plaza by Orale with the Kumon sign. Also, be careful and go slow, or you'll crunch your front bumper against the pavement like I did :(

Attention chocolate lovers, you just HAVE to check this place out especially if you like chocolate from Europe! The BEST plain milk chocolate IMHO can be found here. It's called Milka. I think it's Swiss chocolate. I'm not sure since the packaging isn't in English. It comes in many different flavors, but I didn't care for anything but the plain one.

Other stuff you can find here are Easter European cookies, sweets, bread, canned food, fish, meats, cheese, tea, coffee, soup, pasta, snacks, and more. Trust me when I say Milka is great, just get the plain kind. The package is blue and the plain kind says Milch on it. There are some exotic flavors like coffee, strawberry filled, and more for those of you who like that sort of stuff. This store is worth checking out if you like to try new things or just like really good chocolate!

This is a great store with amazing products. Their service is super!!
We spent some time in Croatia last summer, so being in that store brought back wonderful memories from the trip.

Who knew that there was a Eastern European place here? I just happened to park nearby during lunch. The lady working is from Zagreb Croatia and we got to talking about the food she missed. When I mentioned I liked Cevapi, she lit up. Best way to be accepted by a culture is to eat their food. Was talking to an old couple as I was looking through the cured meats and they recommended some Croat supplier who was fairly famous there. SO many thing here, I need to go back and brush up the food items
