Gypsy Grill

I was visiting for a week and had to come here twice for their shish kebab pita. It was my favorite pita sandwich I've ever had! I'm sad I'm not local, I'd be here all the time.

Love such simple food corners! It's a small space with a few tables and chairs for a quick bite.

Food is fresh, hot and delicious. I had a falafel sandwich and my husband and son had - chicken kebab box and chicken shawarma box. While the price point is not low, they serve big portion sizes. Service is quick and with a smile! We had been here for a week-day late lunch and would definitely go back again.

Give this place a try if u haven't!

The order sent to us was wrong and we were told to drive there to get our correct order. What's the point of ordering food then if you still gotta drive to the place?

No frills place with shwarma and falafel. I got a lamb box that comes in a round tin plate you'd find anywhere in NYC similar to halal guys. It's a pretty quick place to grab lunch to go. I thought it was pretty funny they kept their pita bread warm in a big rice cooker. Lots of funny stuff mounted as decorations on the wall. There's a TV inside, but it's so far behind the back of the restaurant, it's mainly for the workers.

They sent me an incorrect order and did nothing to refund or correct it except expect me to drive down there to pick up a new sandwich.

Its been a few years and prices are up. Quality is down. Delivery is GONE. The falafel that once was spiced and nice is now pretty drab. They must have gotten a new owner or something. Used to have like different levels of hot sauce. Now you have to ask for hot sauce. The lentil soup is mostly vegetables... LOL. I used to order from here once a month, now its maybe once every 6. Anything on Grove is doomed to low quality these days because of the amount of drunken foot traffic it receives.

I love Gypsy Grill. I got the Gypsy platter and it's a really good portion of food and always fresh. I was able to eat half in the moment and half for lunch the next day. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is always clean. I come here at least twice a week.
