I'm an 18yr old undergraduate who used to work here for a couple months as Bar Back and I don't normally leave reviews but I thought this one was important especially for young or new workers to read. I also apologise for the long review but I need to thoughtfully say what I need to say.

Firstly, I want to address the rudeness of the managers who work here who aren't so friendly towards the younger workers at all, so If you're young, do be cautious of Leo's treacherous ways as not only is he full of himself but he's also a money swindling trickster who had my salary at the minimum wage of £6.83 rather than the original £9.50 I was promised in my first interview and stated on the job application. Only finding out two months in due to not receiving a payslip until my second month; all I was payed for my first month was an estimate... which was £88 pounds off. Finally, the second months payslip arrived and I was horrified when I saw the rate. It kind of sucks knowing there was a 17yr old boy working there being payed £9.50 an hour compared to my whopping £6.83. Additionally, I met another female worker my age who had also had her wages fondled with too.

On one occasion, I was denied food from the chef as it was 'too late'... I asked him nicely again and he lashed out and shouted at me. This made me feel a bit uncomfortable. However, that's not to be mistaken with the skylark chef upstairs with the glasses as he was always super kind to me as well as all the waiters.

Anyhow, let's not mention the absolute most egotistical person I have ever came across in this entire place; the OWNER of this restaurant, Adam. This poor excuse of a human conceitedly and for no other reason invaded my personal space and went "Do you know who I am, I'm the owner and I expect you to do as I say" In such a selfish tone. I'm sorry but just because you don't get enough punani at home doesn't mean you have to be so condensing towards me and the other employees who work there. You own the place, not us.

To sum up, I don't recommend working here unless you want to gain experience in dealing with narcissistic people and how toxic workplaces look like. I've recently quit the job and I'm looking for a new one who treats their employees with dignity and respect and who will also provide constructive criticism rather than nonsense. You won't grow as a waiter or a bartender here; all they will see you as is just another pay check.

P.s, the reason there's a number of 5 star reviews is because you get a free spin on the wheel of fortune for a free shot if you leave a positive review.

This bar/restaurant is located directly across from Novotel London Paddington Hotel, so we ate there on our last night in London since we needed to be up early. What a mistake. This place is really about the drinks and not the food. Generally the restaurant serves pizza, fried chicken, chicken wings, and little else. Come only for the bar atmosphere. When we sat down we were immediately told that they had no more fried chicken or chicken wings (implied that nothing is made fresh?). With little options left, husband ordered a pizza which came out burnt, and I had a salad. Server also took our credit card to hold for the tab, and this was the norm as we observed other diners having to give up their credit card. Had we not ordered we would have left. You have to pay your tab at the bar. We observed many families coming from our hotel looking for a place to eat and they just walk away as the outside looks promising with their menu but it when they walk in they recognize it is not for them. A lot more balance is needed here.
