Interstate Electronics

I had an excellent experience with Interstate Electronics. I had visited them over the years for audio video remote control needs.
I was in the market for Polywood outdoor furniture last year. They are one of the few Polywood resellers in NJ.
At this point they dis not have a Polywood showroom so I visited a different store by LBI to sit and test the furniture. I priced out what I wanted at both stores and Interstate came out far less and included free delivery.
I received recommendations on colors and instructions to clean as every person in the store owns this furniture themselves.
Great find, great people.

These guys are amazing, there's nothing they don't know. They have an awesome answer for every question. They have stated the art equipment across the board. And prices that rival any Best Buy. They solve any problem I have and come up with a better solution than I would have. I highly recommend.

IEI is amazing, I have a 2002 Chevy 3/4 ton Suburban that came from the NJ Highway Authority, its a great truck, in great condition, but as you can imagine the wiring was a bit of a mess, since it had all the state police roller lights etc installed, flashers etc. Juan installed a great Pioneer head unit, under rear seat Amp, and 4 JBL Speakers. They were all installed 6 years ago when I got the truck, and they have worked great ever since, I once had a door speaker stop (rear door) and Juan popped it out, look at the wires reconnected it, and good to go.. And that was years after I had the work done. If you need great equipment installed, even better than at the factory, they are top rated in my book

Super Friendly and Knowledgeable about all their stereo equipment and installations. They helped me with my 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport. They didn't care the stock speakers but showed me what I needed to buy used to make my new stereo work.

Got my radar detector installed by Juan, he told me numerous times how bad my radar detector was. Even though it's a top of the line product. No company should ever bash a customers purchase even if it wasn't inside the store. The job was hard wiring my detector in my car so I don't have to use the cigarette outlet. He did a great job installing it.

3/5 stars just because the customer service wasn't good but the job was done and nothing looked bad.

IEI use to be a really good place. They use to have good deals on car audio systems. But now you figure, prices would go down since there are no speciality stores anymore, not here. Bestbuy seems to have better pricing not only in audio but TVs as well. And there are no longer friendly customer service anymore. I stop by here and there to check out there clearance and not in the past 3 times I've gone was i even acknowledge. Oh, besides the fact I was touching an expensive TV which they probably thought I was breaking. I think they are still around since they deal in bulk for independent companies. Just ashame for the downfall.

This place is the best kept secret around. I bought three big screen tv's there last year. They have every accessory you could want , all at the lowest prices. They don't need to advertise. They have the lowest prices and best selection. If you need anything , you will find it there. That's why their parking lot is full of trucks and vans of the local dealers and installers. That's where everyone goes to get their tv's and supplies. If you haven't been in there you have to stop in. The guys working there really know their stuff. They can answer all your questions. It's worth the trip!

I have always wanted to browse though Interstate Electronics (IEI) but I have just never got around to it. However, I recently had to visit NJ DMV that is located right next store so I took the opportunity to kill two birds with one stone.

What a cool store. There is stuff all over the place. If you are looking for a cable or a connector this is the place to come. They have lots of DVDs but no CDs. They have a good selection of audio/visual products. They also have lots of other stuff like radar detectors, radios and walkie talkies.

On of the things I like about living in New Jersey is that the Big Box retailers are not the only choice. There are plenty of local retailers that have been able to stay in business by providing both good product and good customer service.

Really happy with the service I received at IEI. I went in to have an AUX cable installed in my car so I could listen to the music on my iPhone through the cars speakers. The guys behind the counter were very helpful and steered me in the right direction both in terms of quality and price. I ended up saving a ton of money compared with what I expected to pay and I'm very happy with the option I went with. On the installation day I was able to drop my car off, go to Perkins next door for breakfast, and by the time I was done eating my car was waiting for me. Overall 5-star experience, I'll be coming here if I ever need some work done on my cars stereo or if I plan to build the home theater I always wanted (they had a great selection of speakers and TV's, I'm just too broke to buy one right now).
