Jinli Sichuan Cuisine

Paper napkins, paper tablecloth, lukewarm tea. We waited 30 minutes to place our order. One hour in, we had our order taken and enjoyed some crab soup dumplings.
Another 40 minutes, still waiting for our order.
Finally, my hot and sour soup arrived. Very good, spicy enough, I'm the envy of those who didn't get soup, lol.
After two hours and fifteen minutes, our hostess apologized for the delay and provided some complimentary shrimp dumplings and soft drinks.
I cancelled one dish simply because it took so long. The remaining dishes trickled in over the next half hour. So, very tasty food, but truly unacceptable waittime. Never again.

My experiences at Jinli Chinese Restaurant have been a mixed bag, primarily due to the stark contrast between the delicious food and the less-than-friendly service.

The food, on the whole, is above average. Some dishes tend to lean on the sweeter side, even when I specifically request extra spice. It's a bit disappointing when the heat doesn't quite match the sweetness, but the flavors are still commendable.

My main gripe lies with the lady at the counter - she's a real game-changer in the wrong way. On one occasion, she demonstrated zero manners. As my companions and I approached the door, she was chatting outside. Upon noticing us, she abruptly walked in, didn't bother to hold the door, and, to my surprise, let it slam shut in my face.

Despite this rude encounter, I must acknowledge that the food is pretty good. It's a shame that the overall experience is tarnished by one unpleasant interaction. If they could improve on the service front, Jinli would undoubtedly be a go-to spot for satisfying Chinese cuisine.

My friend and I ate here for the first time last night. We had such a nice experience. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful if you have any questions about the menu. She even brought us a free appetizer. Very accommodating.

The food was delicious. We loved everything we tried. Soup dumplings, wontons in chili oil, and Dandan noodles were all just excellent. Perfect amount of spicy flavor. Can't wait to come back and try more!

The staff was very nice and helpful. Everything was yummy. My only complaint is that it was not Szechwan spicy (it had a little bit, but not much). Would go again, but will probably ask for higher spice or chili oil/something like that on the side.

If your looking for spicey and flavor this is the place. Took the family for a late lunch and the service was great and the food was really good. The Braised Pork with chestnut comes out in a cracked vase presentation was really nice and the flavor was on point. I will be back to try other dishes.

My favorite place for authentic Chinese food in Marlboro/Monmouth County!!!

The place is on the smaller side, but the decor has a clean and simple aesthetic. Despite being in a strip mall, the restaurant has a slightly fancier feel and it's a nice setting.

Definitely has Sichuan/peppercorn flavor and spices in the dishes: their pickled fish dish's broth is so delicious. Service is consistently attentive and accommodating to guest requests.

Come here for spicy and more authentic chinese food!!

Insufficient staff employed for a busy night. Waited 35 minutes to order. Two hours after arriving, only appetizers and soup were served. 2 waitresses avoiding customers because the kitchen can't keep up with the orders. Entrees arrived 2 hours after we ordered them. We barely ate before packing it all up to go because 3 hours is too long at a restaurant.

Super yummy food with amazing service!! Would definitely come back again :) great ambience and decor as well! Quiet but super nice!
