I bought chicken thighs and went home with a sealed bag and froze it. the bag was completely tied up . when I opened the bag to defrost the chicken couple days ago, it was rotten and smelled horrible, there was no way I could have known that it was spoiled because it was completely sealed. I went baCk to the store and told them the situation and they said that there is nothing they can do since I left the premises. I was a loyal customer to them and always buy chicken there among other staffs and never had that issue, it might be $12 something for the chicken but it just the fact that they sold me spoiled chicken that's what bothering me. I'm never going back there!!!!

Recently moved to the area and this is by far the best carnicería I've shopped at, their pork and steak selections are fresh and clean. Will recommend to friends and family

Very good food and a good grocery store, but make sure you check your receipt at every purchase, we don't usually check receipts but after not only one time but 5 of 8 time we bought at this store this month there always extra charge on something like lemons or other vegetables, so we decided to Alf the guy in the register and the very couple times we I said something he makes a sarcastic comment. Well I'm not going to wait for 5 days so I get the money back I just grab what I was charge extra. But if I didn't checked I would have paid for something extra that I never got.

My husband and I love this carniceria, especially for menudo and mole on the weekends! However, my most recent experience has me questioning if I ever want to give them any of my hard earned money. I bought a Jarritos soda on 8/4 in the late afternoon and when we sat down for dinner and opened the soda it was so flat. I went to return the soda or just exchange it and was told they could not do anything unless I had a receipt. Who keeps grocery store receipts?!?!? I'm sorry but the same person checked us out the previous day is the same one that told us she could not do anything without a receipt. She spoke to the guy behind her but he didn't even have the curtesy to turn around and speak to us about issue. Needless to say I am out my money, soda and no apology from anyone in the store!
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 30, 2016
We don't tend to come too often since we feel it slightly further away than other meat markets but the quality has always been good as well as their cleanliness and the managers attention. Our favorite part is the hot bar in the back of the store, it is AMAZING! The food is always on point and have never been let down by it. The prices are a bit up there but nothing ridiculous so I highly recommend this place!
Oh, and of course, their products and variety are fantastic, you can find almost anything you need.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dan E.Dacula, GA148149178Sep 13, 2017
Disclaimer: I'm an Arizona native with a Spanish surname. I'm used to really good Sonora style Mexican food.
The review: Yikes.
So it's part of a Mercado. Food counter is in the back.
I spoke English and everybody understood me passably well. Counter help was polite and friendly.
Food ranged from mediocre to gross. Don't get tamales here unless you're ok with bland flavors and rubbery texture.
The tacos were ok. I tried a carne asada taco (mediocre) and carnitas (bland).
The chile was just hot. No flavor. Just hot. I can take hot, but no flavor is just lazy execution.
Tortillas aren't made on site - they're bagged (like at your local grocery store).
In the end, this was the first and last time I visit here. I don't recommend trying this place.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Aryan K.Lawrenceville, GA8293164Jun 24, 2017
Heard this place was amazing from a friend so I had to check it out! At first I thought it was La Victoria was a restaurant but it's actually a market and the kitchen is in the back near the deli/butcher. There are some seats you may sit and eat your food.
I ordered two steak tacos and 1 chicken taco.
As I waited for the tacos, I got a complimentary drink and despite being lactose Intolerant. I had to get horchata.. and My goodness! Was the horchata amazing !! It was so flavorful and had just the right amount of everything. I had to constraint myself from getting a refill.
The tacos arrive, and I was then surprised by the size of the tacos and the generous ingredients they had. Usually taco places skimp on ingredients but not La Victoria. The tacos were one of the best tacos I've ever had (I'm from California) so that's a bold statement from me. :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Andrea T.San Francisco, CA01Jan 14, 2021
Terrible place...workers were so rude. Also the food is not good and everything is overpriced compared to any other grocery store. Parking is super small and always overcrowded. Overall terrible experience, would not recommend at all.
