About the Business
Located in The Plaza Food Hall in New York, Pizza Rollio is an artisanal pizza salon that serves up a unique kind of pizza. Our innovative pizza rolls are far from ordinary, and we are excited to introduce the newest trend in skinny pizza. Each Pizza Rollio is made with organic dough that is served delicate, crisp, and layered with a delightful blend of cheese, herbs and fresh toppings. Then, you, the customer, add fresh arugula, alfalfa and sauces of your choice on a strip, roll it up, and enjoy a sumptuous bite! Pizza Rollio's design concept is a tribute to the family kitchen where friends and relatives gather to enjoy a fresh, delicious, home-cooked meal. In fact, this is how the concept of the roll pizza was first conceived. Our Rollios have the homemade flavor of scratch-made pizza, with the health benefits of a fresh salad. Their perfect roll-up design make them the perfect meal to share with friends and family. On entering Pizza Rollio, one is greeted by black-and-white flooring inspired by the Spanish cement tiles, black-and-white awning, glazed subway tiles, and wall treatment - all reminiscent of an old classic charm. There is also a view of the open kitchen, where everything is prepared fresh. In addition to our famous Rollios, we also serve dessert and breakfast pizza with a variety of natural coffees and teas. Come experience the new and skinny way to enjoy the delicious flavors of pizza. Just one roll and you'll never want your pizza by the slice, again!

We came here Labor Day weekend. Our hotel wasn't so far from here but we had just driven in from Boston and we were starving. Our son only eats pizza so that's why we chose this place.
Just to describe where this restaurant is located : it's a little boutique food court in the plaza hotel. You have to walk through the food court to find it.
We were very lucky to find a table! It's so crowded. We waited a bit for the food but it's worth it. It's expensive but we'd go again !
The full pizza fed the 3 of us just barely. I don't have a stomach ok. Like zero stomach. It was removed in February so then I was 6 months post op. I'm not a large person so my post op self generally has a hard time if I eat too much. It's so thin and yet the few pieces I ate weren't enough for me. This is rare for me! So if you are coming here starving with friends you will need 2-3 full pizzas to feel full. But. It was sooo good. I can still taste it and my mouth waters. We just got the cheese pizza. I'm sure everything else is amazing too. I'm so glad we experienced Pizza Rollio!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Nov 25, 2019
This is good pizza. It's gimmick is that it's thin enough to roll. If you don't get it fresh, it softens a little bit, but a toaster oven can easily fix that. I usually get these delivered to the office. Even then, the pizza is still warm.
I usually get:
- Margherita - fresh tomatoes, fresh basil, mozzarella
- Mushroom Truffle Madness - mushroom, truffle oil, mozzarella
What I love about it is that they give you a side if arugula and alfalfa sprouts. For as long as I'm in the mood, I'll order from here.
I recommend trying it out.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Ang B.Rocklin, CA04046Mar 15, 2022
It's closed down since covid happened!! The whole food court underneath the plaza hotel is closed down since covid and no one bothered to update the hours of operations

I was pleasantly surprised to find Pizza Rollio in the Plaza Food Hall. I am crazy about paper thin crust. I think it is genius to have pizza so thin that you can "roll" the pizza with the sprouts and arugula they give you on the side. I can't count the times I have eaten here because I've been here so many times. I would come here everyday when I would visit NYC. Now that I live here I have it at least once a month.
With the multitude of delicious pizza in this city I really consider Pizza Rollio to be the best and my favorite. It's like a cracker that has crisp edge and soft by the center. They serve their pizza sliced diagonally to make rectangles about an inch wide so you can roll them when you eat it. Hence Pizza Rollio.Personally these are my favorites:
NYPT - pepperoni, tomato sauce, mozzarella and add garlic it gives it more kick
Friends Forever - fresh garlic, fontina, parmesan, mozzarella
You can order a half or full pan. I get full on just a half. Be creative and create your own pizza and treat your taste buds. You can never go wrong eating here! 5 stars!Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 8Oh no 0Business owner information

Love it! Fresh & made when you order it. Says organic. Even better. I will definitely be back to try more items from menu & I do recommend you try this delicious ultra thin crust pizza. See my photos.
I ordered the "half size"--see my photo showing half vs full size.
This review is based on my first visit yesterday.
I ordered the Chef's Special of the day: Spinach Artichoke Pizza, & I loved every bite.
It is a rectangle shape, very, very, thin crust, & the cheese was yummy, I think there was some goat cheese on this special pizza of the day, along with mozzarella, Spinach & artichoke...Would have been nice to have a bit more artichoke, but overall, this was an EXCELLENT PIZZA & I LOOK FORWARD TO TRYING MORE OF THE DIFFERENT PIZZA COMBINATIONS.
What you can expect: delicious & fresh pizza made as soon as you order--it is not sitting waiting for you--IT IS MADE FRESH FOR YOU!!!YIPEE!!
The thin rectangle pizza is then sliced/scored, & you receive a small side dish of sprouts & greens to add to your pizza, & then YOU ROLL UP YOUR SCORED/SLICED PIZZA. See my photos.
I think the half is great for one person for a filling meal, or two people for a fun, DELICIOUS snack or lunch.
OVERALL: Fresh, delicious & excellent.
I shall post more photos at each visit & I look forward to trying many yummy pizza selections. They even have DESSERT PIZZA TOO!
You should definitely try Pizza Rollo! You will need to be patient for about 5-7 minutes because YOUR PIZZA IS BEING MADE & IT IS WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!! I went on a busy Saturday, during my late lunch hour , about 2pm-ish. People were enjoying their pizza at the tables.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

It took me a minute to find it in the food hall. When you get off the escalators, it will be all the way on the corner on your right hand side.
I'll say that the pizza here was very tasty. All the pizzas seemed to be made to order so it's very fresh. It's true, the pizza is very thin and meant to roll up.
It's fun to play with your food, but not $20+ dollars worth :| for thin crust pizza? seemed overpriced to me. I would want to eat it again, but I could get much better pizza for a better price elsewhere in the city.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 2, 2019
Our group of 7 was in NYC and we wanted some pizza. As I usually do I pull up Yelp and see what's near by. I see Rollio pizza with almost 5 stars so we start heading there.
If you are following GPS direction note that it is actually inside the shops at the Plaza. It's inside a food court so it's not a stand alone restaurant. Also note that the food court is packed and they have a very very small space with very few tables. You will be lucky to find a spot for 2 to seat let alone 7.
As our group looks for tables around the food court I go to order. I figured 2 large pies would be good enough for our group so I order 2 large pies... $40 some dollars. Ouch! At that exact moment someone from the group comes up as I was ordering and asks them how many people a large pie feeds... they said 2... OUCH!!! At this point I had already ordered and paid so I figured we will eat the 2 pies and get something else around the food court.
It took a while for them to make the pies. There was only 2 guys working back there and a TON of people. I would say it took maybe like 30min to get the food. To say a large pie feeds 2 is an overstatement, it may feed 2 children, small children, who are not that hungry. The pies are very small and sooo thin they really provide no satisfaction.
It has a good taste to it, but c'mon. I've had pizza that tasted better, was thin, but would still be considered pizza by most people. This isn't pizza. It's not even a flat bread. After the fact I see reviews about how you're suppose to "roll" the pizza and that's the whole idea behind it. Let me tell you our pizza was soooo thin you couldn't even roll it. The "crust" was so thin at parts that there really wasn't a crust and you were just trying to scoop cheese and grease up with your hands.
Overall it was a very disappointing meal and I honestly have no idea how it's rated almost 5 stars.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Nov 17, 2017
Don't get me wrong -- I firmly agree that there's a time and a place to indulge in New York's quintessential dollar slices. But sometimes I want to pretend I'm visiting the city in the middle of the Roaring Twenties (a particularly apt analogy because the Great Depression a few years later would be the equivalent of my responsibilities) and treat myself to lunch in the opulent Plaza Hotel Food Hall. Live it up like Kevin from Home Alone 2 or Eloise and scarf down a fancier version of every kid's favorite meal at Pizza Rollio.
This is the poshest pizza I've ever had, but it was creative and delicious without breaking the bank. We felt like the full size mushroom truffle pizza was large enough to share among the three of us. For such a decadent $17 pizza, it was worth every single bite -- they definitely didn't skimp on the mushrooms! Everything about the pizza, from the crunchy edges of the crust to the thin crepe-like dough of the remainder of the pizza, is a culinary masterpiece. Sprinkle your side of arugula and alfalfa sprouts and roll up your rectangular slice of pizza until you have something shaped like an egg roll.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

The basement of the plaza hotel has some of the best hidden gems in the city as far as beauty fashion and gastroonomy.
Come down here and you will find all types of tastes, sweets, savory and averything that can possibly be in between.
I usually come here for the crepes or lobster rolls, but today i wantsd some good and old pizza. Came here to this place cause i been here before but had a sweet desert pizza and i really liked so i decided to give it a change to the meal pizzas.
Small sitting area and restaurant as all the businesses down here are so there was mo surprise, however very well thought out as far as the ambiancw theu wanted, it does remind you of a little french pizza place.
I ordered the "friends forever" that has garlic, fontina cheese and muzzarela plus parmesan. The fun thing about the pizza here is that you roll it to eat, therefore the crust is thin and doughy at the same time to allow you to do that, with crunchy corners. It tasted pretty good and i would come back to try their truffle pizza as it seems to be the popular taste here.
It was definitely not the best pizza i ever had but the price and quality as well as the upscale kind of toppings in these pizzas make it a well worth it experience overall.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information
