They offer pasta, meat & seafood entrees and vegan selections. They have a good list of cocktails & beers + extensive list of wines from small producers.

Is this restaurant kid friendly?
A:
Not really. I have seen kids both outside on their formely tented space, now open air and inside. But I don't recall a kids menu.

I can't say enough amazing things about spuntino- in planning a trip to Denver with some girlfriends we were looking for some tasty places to eat. I love Italian food and when i stumbled upon this recommendation in an eater article I was so intrigued by the idea of Italian/Indian fusion. We had some trouble finding a reservation- it's such a small cute place and the hours were only 5-8, and as much as I was not super excited about a 5 pm reservation- I'm so glad we went anyway cause the restaurant was so special!
We ordered the amazing focaccia bread with garlic, the arancini which was just flavored so insanely good, and two pastas to share- my fav being the malai kofta gnocchi which was maybe one of the top 3 amazing foods I've ever had in my life. The service was lovely and our waiter told us about the restaurant- its owner and executive chef is a first generation Indian woman and in his 6 years at the restaurant its food has continue to evolve and grow.
On our way out I was able to share with her just how lovely our experience dining was and she was so kind!!!! I would 100% return to Denver in the future with a future meal being the cornerstone of my trip!!! Thank u for the incredible experience spuntino!!!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bradley B.Downtown, Buffalo, NY1934218Mar 2, 2024
Visited from New York and was disappointed for a few reasons:
1) After reading reviewing and visualizations of the restaurant I imagined this was an intimate/private or somewhat romantic spot for dinner. We were greeted with an extremely large dining spot, very very loud.
2) Our server was more on the line than providing table service. Without context, she was just awkward with greeting and talking drink/food orders. Lacked genuine friendliness too.
3) The open kitchen is awful. We literally have to get our suits dry cleaned now; and of course wash everything else because we smell like straight-up oil.
4) Food was not crazy. Honestly it just pasta. Not sure what the value rating would be as it was OK, but yeah. My partner was unimpressed with the lasagna for $36, no meat. (But he may have high standards)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 19, 2024
What a phenomenal start to my 2024 food journey. We came here to celebrate my good friends 40th birthday and it was nothing short of amazing. Starting with our waiter, he provided one of the best services I've experienced in a very long time. He was well versed in all the cuisine and drinks. He had solid recommendations and was so pleasant to be around, I wanted to invite him to have a seat at our table.
The restaurant is dimmly lit for the perfect romantic setting. Noise level is definitely moderate.
We ended up ordering quite a few items. However, the highlights of the meal were the elk tartare, the truffle main course( special of the day) and the Gelato. I think I would pass on the donuts next time though. Otherwise, anything you order here will satisfy your taste buds. Five stars all around.Helpful 3Thanks 2Love this 2Oh no 0 - Nov 18, 2023
Cute spot!
We were here for a special occasion and our server was fantastic, treating us to some complementary bubbly and chocolate truffles (the truffles are top 10 things I've ever eaten)!
We went with the insalata and Arancini for starters and the capellini and scallops for mains. The insalata was super salty and a disappointment. We loved the Arancini, the cilantro lime crema was so tasty and unique! As for the mains, the capellini was a fun mix of flavors and the scallops were cooked well, but didn't love the sides the scallops came with. Overall everything was tasty and flavorful, but perhaps all a bit salty. The mains were both really rich -- we didn't expect to leave nearly that full.
Service was good for the most part, but it did take quite a while to get the scallops.
The interior is nicely decorated and has a small, intimate feel. A bit loud. Not sure if it's where we were seated, but we both found the interior to be a bit stuffy and found ourselves feeling a bit stuffed up by mid-way through the meal.
We took the chocolate truffles to go, and had we known how good they were, we totally would have gotten several more! Soooo good, if you like chocolate, you gotta get some!!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nov 2, 2023
Food:
Ordered the Focaccia e Ricotta, Capellini Aglio e Olio. and Capesante.
The focaccia was delicious but overpriced for the size (not uncommon I suppose). But sadly the pasta and the scallops were just not my style at all. The server did a good job of describing them so I wasn't necessarily surprised but man I did NOT like the flavor profile at all.
The Capellini Aglio e Olio was basically spaghetti like noodles (homemade!) with olive oil, egg, and Indian spices. And while I love Indian food, I do not want it in my Italian food. I applaud their risks but I really just didn't want that flavor in my Italian food. Call me traditional. To each their own.
The Capesante was scallops with "wheat berries" that tasted identical to dense couscous. The scallops were truly cooked to perfection but again, the flavor was just not my style. Too many things going on.
The cocktails we got were yummy but filled to half the martini glass. Which was already small. A bit disappointing to be honest.
The place is super cute inside. Please note that the bar is not open seating but they do call aheads.
There is also only street parking so be prepared.
The service was good though at the bar :)
-- update: I think the biggest thing that confused me is Google says it's just an Italian restaurant. Yelp has it correctly that it's Italian, Indian. Very different!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Feb 6, 2024
My boyfriend selected this spot for our anniversary dinner and surprised me with the plans. It was perfect for the occasion! This place is so cute with the best vibes. Not too fancy but still serving innovative flavors and excelled food. Our table was pretty much in the middle of the room but was still comfortable and far enough from our neighbors that we felt we had privacy. The food was delicious, the service was fast and warm. Would hope to come back here at some point and try some more dishes.

We were looking forward to returning after several amazing meals at Spuntino but unfortunately was very disappointed this time around.
The salad was so small and had a huge amounts of blue cheese-Not very appetizing.
We ordered the Capellini Aglio and daily pasta special (a seafood pasta). The capellini we've had in the past was delicious, but this time around it was so spicy, almost inedible. The seafood pasta while very good was again very small, and just ok
The service started out great but by the end -we sat for nearly 30 minutes after finishing our entrees for plates to be cleared; so we just asked for the check without getting dessert.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Oct 15, 2021Previous reviewWe had family visiting and came here for one of the best dinners we've ever had. The focaccia w ricotta was delicious, the ricotta was so fresh. Then we tried the burrata which was amazing and so creamy. The pastas were definitely the highlight - the homemade pasta, lasagna and ravioli were all so delicious and rich. I was completely stuffed after my meal. Can't wait to come back! It will be hard for another Italian place to top this restaurant

Spuntino is a perfect spot for dinner, drinks, and apps. Small, simple menu, great wine list, cool LoHi vibe, and impeccable service. I dropped a star from this almost-perfect dinner due to price. The food is very good, but at a relatively high price--dinner for 3 with a bottle of wine was $260.
Strongly recommend the burrata, which is a touch better than the ricotta cheese app. The lasagna is cool looking but only slightly above average--that said, not sure how much anyone can do with lasagna. The condition duck ravioli had the best flavor for a lighter dish. The star entree was the half chicken. Great flavor profile and very filling. Let your biggest appetite in the group tackle that.
The servers were exceptional and the start-to-finish experience was non-pretentious, warm and comfortable.
Spuntino is a top 10, maybe top 5, spot in the Denver metro and worth reserving early and returning often.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Oct 27, 2023
I loved the ambiance of this place. A tight space but put together well. Feels modern and busy.
Our server was great and gave us many recommendations. I got the Tagliatelle and it was unique and delicious. It was a heavy dish so I wouldn't recommend if you were hoping for something light. Even better the next day as leftovers.
We got the focaccia with roasted garlic for an app and overall I wish it came with more bread. We had lots of cheese and garlic but only enough bread to eat about half of it.
The parking was street parking but everyone in my party found parking within 2 blocks for a 8pm Sunday reservation.
They also gave us a free Tartufo al Cioccolato to celebrate my birthday! At first you think the serving is super small but after heavy pasta and the dessert's richness, you have no complaints!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
