Best tattoo I've ever gotten. Great overall experience and a clean shop. Taz is the best!

I've gotten a navel ring from here and it became infected the same day. I've cleaned it over and over it wasn't helping. Eventually it just fell out. I don't recommend anyone get pierced here! My needle wasn't sterile.

Business Lost - My daughter urged me to bring her to this shop to get a nose piercing redone (original piercing done at a different piercing shop located in the French Quarter). She was 15 at the time of the original piercing and is currently 3 days away from her 16th birthday. First off, the shop lists that it opens at 2pm. We pulled up about 2:40 and there was no one there, doors locked - open sign switched off. We leave to grab lunch nearby, attempted to place a call to confirm the shop's opening hours using the number listed - no answer. As she really wanted this piercing done today, we decide to pass back around to see if they were open after finishing lunch. Pulled up around 3:30, they were open. We were greeted by a young man behind the counter who asks what we came in for. I told him a piercing for my daughter and he asked her age. I told him 15, 16 on this Friday. He then says we'll have to come back Friday as the state law is that all minors must be 16. I'm confused and tell him that she's gotten a piercing in the state of Louisiana before (as my prior research shows that only parental consent and ID is needed for anyone under the age of 18)...his response to me is a light chuckle as he states "She didn't get it done at this shop". I leave, still confused about this "state law" quoted. I return to my car and do a quick Google search to see if something has changed within the state law since last May - no changes. So I call the shop to speak to the young man who had just turned us away - I identified myself and asked him to clarify whether the information I had been given was just their shop policy as this was NOT state law. He then tells me that it's been like this "for a while" and that it's "state policy and shop policy". He also tells me that's he doesn't know where I got my information from...I reiterate again that the information given was incorrect. He also says that I can come back "later" to see if the manager tells me something different- but he does not offer to seek clarity as an employee. He cuts me off with an insincere "Well thank you" so I hung up. We ended up going to anther shop (piercing perfectly done!) in the city who is more familiar with actual state law vs. shop policy. To be clear, I'd understand the explanation if this is just their shop policy but don't cite imaginary laws to turn away customers.
