Deuchny Wood
… is part of the Kinnoull Hill Woodland Park on the outskirts of Perth …
… there are lots of different paths to follow … some for cyclists …
… I somehow lost the path and ended up walking up a cycle route …
… yes this is a cycle route …
… given I didn’t have a bike … and don’t even like cycling …
… it seemed quite treacherous to me with its jumps and bends …
… but I’m sure flying down hill at high speed over stones set
to make you fly in the air is considered great fun by many …
… walking uphill was not so easy but I finally got back on the path
and the local sheep showed me the right way to go …
… passed the storm damaged trees …
… to the views across the Tay to Fife …
… and north across the lovely Perthshire landscape …
… just a shame it was rainy (as usual) rather than sunny …
