In this blog I will discuss about Architecture Data Model for SAP IDEX.
Deregulation of market has given consumers the freedom to choose their energy suppliers and to change the supplier if they are not satisfied with the services of the supplier they can leave the exciting supplier and choose a new supplier.
The Architecture Data Model looks like.
So let’s get started with Grid.
A grid is an object that corresponds to the distribution part of it. The distributor is a service provider who is providing a service. In Grid we see the distributor and distribution providers. Grid can be see in Point of Delivery.
- Point of Delivery: POD means a utility service is supplying the service.
There are two types of POD.
- Technical
- Deregulation.
Considering for IDEX part we need a Deregulation POD . A deregulation point of delivery is created automatically for every installation. The point of delivery is also allocated to a grid.
- In de regulated market POD plays an important role because a distributor has measured the consumption of a point of delivery (customer’s consumption in a given installation) and uses the point of delivery ID to send this information to the customer’s supplier. The supplier then bills the customer based on the consumption data.
- Installation: For an electric a device with Meter contains register the has billing rate that is specific according to Business Partner used for billing purpose.
- Premise: A Premise represent a Service Address[ House, Flat, Apartment, etc ].
- Connection Object: It refers a physical location where service will be provided.
- Device: It consists of meter which is used to read energy consumption.
- Contract: A contract is the legal agreement with this business partner and the Company for a particular service.
- Business Partner: A Business Partner can be A Person or An Organization with company will maintain business for that service.
- Contract Account: It will contain the business information of Business Partner , such as Name Address, billing Address, etc.
