No, I dont think so

In a particular week and on different occassions, I heard this saying either from someone saying it to me or to someone else. This is one of the popular sayings that even a newborn child need not live for up to a decade before he or she get used to it.

I decided to ruminate on this saying and i discovered how much havoc and harm it has caused destinies.

Lifes have been caged, dreams have remained in the dreamworld, seeds of greatness in the lifes of many people have died as a result of the scorging sun from this saying and people have lived a shadow of the life they were made to live.

Behind this saying is a man named Fear and surnamed Laziness. Infact, some people describe this man using a sentence, they call him "Comfort with the status quo"

It is a fact that the bush contains alot of birds worth millions than the one in your hand, but they tell you to hold on to that one since you are not sure you will be able to catch any bird when you get to the bush. They call it "Leaving certainty for uncertainty"

Some people will even tell you that it is okay to go to the bush to look for other birds but you should still hold that one in your hand. This is true but there are times you need to completely let go of that bird if you must stand a chance of getting millions in the bush.

If you are totally sold to this belief you will never make meaning out of life.

Nothing great comes easy.

Through determination, persistence, focus and well planned set of actions, you can have more birds in your hand.

Instead of telling me not to leave the bird in my hand in search of new birds worth more because it is not certain I will get these birds, why not tell me to plan very well before going insearch of the bird?

Why not tell me to do a great study and research to learn about the different types of bird available in the bush and the best technique suitable to catch each type?

Instead of telling me not to take that bold step and risk, why not advice and encourage me to take calculated risk and even devise means to mitigate the risk?

Never allow that one bird in your hand hinder you from exploring the bush that houses lots of birds.

Never allow the fear of losing what you have deprive you of what you are capable of having.

Don't hold on to your achievements that you deprive yourself of greater things that you can achieve

Whenever you think about failure and you ask yourself "what if i fail?" make sure you pause and also ask yourself "What if i succeed?" and then allow the joy of success fuel your desire to aim higher.

Press forward, don’t be too comfortable with what you have, don’t continue to endure and do nothing when you have the potential and all you need to enjoy.

Take the risk as long as it is worth taking. There is no smooth road that leads to Success. Every success story has one or two risk that was taken along the way.

True failure is when you fail to try. If you fail while trying, you have not failed you have only learnt how not to fail again.

The fear of failing has actually made alot of people fail doing nothing, what can be worst than that?

I will rather fail at something than fail at nothing. So if you must fail at all, do not fail doing nothing make sure you fail doing something

When you learn in an attempt to do something, joy fills your heart and do you know what that knowledge does?, it keeps you on your feet to try again and again and again just to show that you have learnt something.

Do not endure your job when you are convinced that within you lies ideas that can turn your situations around for good.

A great man once said "show me a man that has never failed and i will show you a man that has never tried anything"*

You were wired to do more than what you are doing.

Sit down and plan, Commune with our father in heaven, ask Him to direct you and when you feel that inner peace, set out on your journey to greatness.

The road will be rough, it may not be easy, you will go through the wilderness, you will go thrpugh tunnels of challenges but at the end, there will be light

There is a demand that resulted in your creation, if you care to know ask your creator.

Get into that bush and find those birds worth more than what you have, it doesnt matter who thinks you will fail, just make sure you you go with God and at the end you will leave indelible prints in the sand of time.
