Inspiration from the T’boli Tribe

Since Alessandra and Louisa have strong ties to the Philippines it was only natural to incorporate Filipino cultural aspects into their debut collection.

There are over 40 different ethnic groups in the Philippines, many of these are known as “tribal groups,” each having their own unique culture and language.

The T’boli tribe, an indigenous group in southern Mindanao, Philippines is a particular group that mesmerized the designers. 

The T’boli are characterized for their vibrant, ornate traditional costumes that incorporate geometric patterns, fringe, elaborate embroidery bamboo strips. Their clothing inspired the Mestiza Gladiola Raw Silk Top, the Gladiola Polka Dot Top and their matching Pili Mini Skirts.
