JK Rowling’s social media comebacks are as sharp as ever – and this time she’s hit back at disgruntled fans threatening to burn her Harry Potter books.

The author has never been apologetic in sharing her political views across Twitter and this week she’s caught the ire of some for taking aim at the Trump presidency in the United States.

Rowling retweeted a December 2015 post from US Vice President Mike where he slammed immigration bans on the Muslim community in the US.

Captioning the tweet with the bible verse from Matthew 16:26, the 51-year-old left many Trump supporters reeling, with one fan in particular threatening to burn her ‘books and movies’.

By now you should know rumbling with JK Rowling is a bit like boxing a kangaroo – she’s going to hit back.

Rowling next drew on her experience as a university lecturer (prior to her being a world famous author) to fix the troll’s grammar.

Yep, tough as nails.

Despite the latest round of backlash, Rowling did take time out to thank her fans for backing her.

And for those who STILL had more fire in the tank, she proposed a very generous offer indeed.

On the eve of the US election back in November, Rowling turned her attention to UKIP’s Suzanne Evans who suggested judges should be ‘subject to democratic control’.

In the same month, she urged her followers to Stand With Aleppo as the Syrian crisis deepened.
