Hi Everybody!
This article will be some kind of my diary, but I hope it will help young graphic designers make very important decision. This decision is

Ok. I’m ending up with little things. Show we web and mobile.

When I was in junior high school I discovered Photoshop CS2. At that time I thought it’s huge, hard and very complicated program which is create for smarter people with higher level of education. But! I spent some time with it, had conversation, watched some tutorials on forums and I started to understand this bastard. My graphics travel started from Userbars. Do you remember those things? Pepperidge farm remembers.

I know that you think it’s something without any value, but for me it is my first graphics work and my first personal branding. Thanks to this they knew who I am, what games I play and what music I like. Also I discovered elementary Photoshop tool like shapes, gradients, masks etc. When I won couple of contests, I started to think that it’s time to go up to the next level.

Turns out that next level was forum signatures. There were much more complicated than userbars, but I took a challange. I created pretty huge collection on my hard disk. Once again I won couple of contests, I knew everything about it and I started to use 3d renders and other NASA stuff which I understood (yey!). I know that these things are pretty lame, but I think that without them I would learn much more slower and with less fun.

Userbars and Signatures are very good start. Trust me. I’m doing graphics since I was 15 years old and you know what? The truth is you can learn most Photoshop tools when you’re doing those two things and thanks to it you can switch to webdesign and mobile design, but to create great mobile and web design you need to meet UX, UI, and Usability. Remember about it, because without it it’s just graphics with no functionality. Zero functionality is lame.

P.S.

It was my very first “article” in English. I know it sucks, but hey…I needed to start with something right?
