Gallop Away Academy Instructor Spotlight
Meet Mike Shehee, Owner and Operator of Gallop Away Academy. Mike has 30 years of experience with Horses, trail rides and teaching others how to become horse enthusiasts! He has three horses: Max, Smokey and his newest addition, Blue Jean.
10 Essential Tips for Beginners
1. Find the RIGHT fit for a helmet. There are plenty to choose from on Amazon.
2. Check and double check your tack.
3. Develop excellent ground skills.
4. Ride as much as your schedule allows.
5.Breathe in rhythm with the horse's movement.
6.Do as your told by your instructor, we have your best interest in mind.
7. Ask Questions!
8.Be patient, this skill takes TIME!
9. Relax, Horses are the best at reading a person. When you relax, they relax.
