In Lithuania, the Ukrainian military is being trained to service the M113 armored personnel carriers

The Armed Forces of Lithuania are training the Ukrainian military to service M113 tracked armored personnel carriers.

The press service of the Lithuanian army reported this.

Lithuanian military personnel introduce the theoretical knowledge to the Ukrainian servicemen and show the structure of armored personnel carriers and their mechanical components in practice.

Lithuanians also train the Ukrainian military to repair the chassis and engine of the M113 armored personnel carrier both in the workshop and in the field.

According to the Lithuanian military, the country handed over 62 M113 armored personnel carriers and combat vehicles to Ukraine.

“62 M113 armored personnel carriers from Lithuania and more from other countries are participating in the battles in Ukraine, and, of course, they need constant care and high-quality maintenance,” the statement emphasizes.

Military assistance that Lithuania provides to Ukraine includes a variety of weapons, ammunition, thermal imaging, drones, anti-drone equipment, military training, etc.

Lithuania is also training the Ukrainian military to maintain PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzers.

In December, the first group of Ukrainian military mechanics completed a two-week training course on repairing PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzers in Lithuania.

Militarnyi previously reported that Germany handed over a dozen PzH 2000 howitzers to Ukraine back in June.

However, the heavy use of howitzers led to rapid wear and tear. They are sent to NATO countries, including Lithuania, for repairs.

Last month, Lithuania shipped a batch of L70 autocannons to Ukraine to strengthen its air defense. In addition to the anti-aircraft guns themselves, the delivery included the necessary ammunition for them.
