Dr Robyn O’Connell

Robyn completed her undergraduate BSc degree in Psychology at the University of Nottingham, and her clinical psychology doctoral training at the University of East London in 2012. Robyn has worked with individuals, groups and families across the lifespan in various NHS and private settings.

Creating a safe environment for clients to talk about sensitive and personal issues is at the core of Robyn’s approach. She draws upon her training in several evidence-based therapeutic modalities, using an integrative approach that is bespoke to the individual. Robyn’s main therapeutic approaches are cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy, compassion-focused therapy, solution-focused and narrative therapy.

Robyn provides evidence-based psychological interventions for a wide range of difficulties such as PTSD, depression and anxiety disorders. She is passionate about promoting overall wellness and a healthy mind-body connection. Robyn has a special interest in working with adults with body-image issues and difficulty losing weight or maintaining weight loss.

Robyn has specialist training in assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and is able to provide nuanced therapy to adults with ASD related difficulties. Robyn has attended additional training in supervision and has experience in supervising other qualified psychologists and trainee clinical psychologists, both in the NHS and privately.

Dr Hatel Bhatt

Hatel is a registered, chartered Counselling Psychologist and has worked in both the National Health Service and voluntary sector for the past six years. She has the combined experience of practicing as a psychologist, offering clinical supervision and has also provided training and teaching to trainee psychologists, staff that work in the education and social care sector; and medical staff working in both adult and paediatrics. Hatel attained her BSc in Psychology and completed her doctoral training at City University London. Since qualifying, she has been working in London in various settings and across several age groups. Hatel is registered with the Health Care Professional Council (HCPC). She offers therapy for both individuals and groups/families.

Hatel believes therapy is a process that is collaborative and should be personalised in its approach. She acknowledges that we all look at the world that we live in and our experiences in our own unique way. Therefore in therapy, she hopes to draw upon this distinctive process to them empower you to be able to take control and be in a position to make changes that you want to make. Whilst she mainly draws her clinical practice from cognitive behavioural therapy, she believes that therapy should primarily meet one’s needs and preferences. Therefore, her core belief in therapy is to be integrative and to offer a range of therapeutic approaches to help with the challenges you are facing. Hatel has specialist experiences in offering therapy for trauma, and she has completed trauma specific training, and is currently training as an eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) therapist. In addition, to offering individual therapy, Hatel enjoys offering supervision and has undertaken various training to support her role as a clinical supervisor.

Dr Katie Precious

Katie is a registered, Chartered Counselling Psychologist. She completed her BSc (Hons) in Psychology at the University of Sussex and her Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at City University in 2014. She has worked with people experiencing a variety of mental health difficulties such as depression, anxiety, psychosis, emotion regulation difficulties, loss and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). Her work has primarily been within the NHS but she has also contributed to mental health research. Katie is registered with the Health & Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and is a Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society.

Katie’s aim is to provide a safe, understanding and non-judgemental space in which a person can make sense of the difficulties they are experiencing. She works compassionately and collaboratively to help her clients better understand how their difficulties may have arisen and what they can do together to help move towards the person’s goals and values. Katie’s approach adopts the belief that it is the client who is the expert. Her aim is to empower the client whilst accompanying them on their journey to live their life the way they want it to be lived. 

Katie believes that every person is different and therefore the therapy offered needs to reflect this by being tailor made to suit the individual. She is trained in a range of evidence-based therapies, such as Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic therapy, Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), Mindfulness and Cognitive analytic therapy (CAT), which can be used in their pure form or integrated.
