PPP chooses Arbab Ameer Amanullah for PS 70 Tando Bago

BADIN: The top leadership of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has finally decided to award the party ticket to Sardar Arbab Ameer Amanullah to contest the polls on PS 70 Tando Bago in Badin district . According to the official announcement, Arbab will contest from a very important provincial seat of the district against the unbeaten Barrister Hasnain Mirza of Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA).

Arbab Lutufallah, the younger brother of Arbab Amanullah, who is contesting the provincial seat of Diplo-Mithi (PS 55) in the desert district of Tharparkar when contacted by this reporter, he said that he was highly thankful to the top party leadership for awarding the party ticket to his brother and to him adding he hoped that they would easily emerge successful in the electoral process with the support of his supporters and party workers.
” All PPP candidates in Tharparkar and in Badin districts are in a very strong position to defeat their rivals on February 8 ” he added and claimed that people of both districts would outright reject the people, who according to him, did nothing for them.

Here it is pertinent to note the PPP leadership has finalized the lists of its final candidates to contest forthcoming general elections in all districts of the province but its main rival GDA leadership has not announced its candidates in any district.

Meanwhile, the provincial election tribunal did anot allow the former Speaker of National Assembly Dr Fehmida Mirza and her spouse Dr Zulfikar Ali Mirza to contest the polls due to their alleged bank default, however, tribunal allowed their sons Barrister Hasnain Mirza and Mohammad Hassam Mirza from Badin districts. Dr Mirzas reportedly decided to challenge the rejection of their nomination papers in Sindh High Court to get an immediate relief so that they could participate in the polls.
