A unique and rare plant with some of the most exotic and beautiful flowers! A creeping to climbing plant with succulent stems up to 10 mm thick. Flowers are produced throughout summer at the growing tip of stems. The species is native to the Eastern Cape where it climbs through dense thicket vegetation. Reported to be more difficult to grow, though we have little problems with it. Keep the the roots and lowers stems in shadier spot while allowing the trailing stems to reach sunlight - this will also promote flowering. Best grown in hanging baskets or trained along a trellis. Water well during summer and reduce watering during winter. Plants being offered are already quite large, with a minimum stem length of 30 cm.
