An excellent nectar plant for many pollinators. After flowering, the clusters of small seed pods turn silvery gray and will persist into winter. Slender mountain mint is less aromatic than other mints but is still used in teas and cooking. It does spread from underground rhizomes but is not terribly aggressive. This is a very adaptable plant that can grow in dry or moist soils.
