Lasthenia coronaria

San Juan Loop Trail, Ortega Oaks, Riverside County, CA. 4-5-12. © Ron Vanderhoff.

Fairly easy to distinguish from other local Lasthenia species by the foliage, which usually is one-pinnate. It is typically a species of small open areas within other scrub and upon slopes, and less common in meadows, vernal pools and moist savannahs.
