The Nevada football team added a commitment Monday from Dartmouth tight end Jace Henry, who also played some quarterback in college.

The 6-foot-4, 270-pounder will have one season of eligibility at Nevada in 2024 after spending four years at Dartmouth, including three as an active player. He helped Dartmouth win Ivy League regular-season titles in 2021 and 2023.

A native of Fairbanks, Alaska., Henry caught 23 passes for 326 yards and scored four touchdowns (two receiving, two rushing) in 25 college games. He had a career-high 13 catches in 2023 and a personal-best 174 receiving yards in 2022. Henry was an academic All-Ivy Honorable Mention in 2022. He saw snaps at quarterback in 2021.

Henry was named the Gatorade Alaska Football Player of the Year as a senior when he led Lathrop High to the state finals as a dual-threat quarterback who passed for 1,296 yards, rushed for 1,573 more and accounted for 37 touchdowns, including 23 rushing. He also had 16 tackles and punted for a 36.8-yards average while being named the Division II Player of the Year.

After entering the transfer portal, Henry also received scholarship offers from San Diego State, Buffalo, Old Dominion, Robert Morris and Howard. Henry was born in Norfolk, Va., and has a brother who played for Montana State-Northern. According to Henry's Dartmouth bio, he also was a background actor in season three of the TV show "How I Met Your Mother."

Henry's commitment can become official during Wednesday's national signing day.
