Announced by Acer at the beginning of the year, the Aspire 7750G series of 17.3-inch notebooks has now become available worldwide and one entry-level version of Acer's creation is now on sale in Europe for as low as €499 ($680).

For this much money, the 17.3-inch multimedia notebook will come configured with a Sandy Bridge Intel Core i3-2330M processor that packs together two computing cores with a base frequency of 2.2GHz.

In the case of the Acer's creation, the Intel processor is paired together with 4GB of system memory and a 500GB hard drive with a spindle speed of 5400RPM, but users can also upgrade the notebook to sport up to 8GB of DDR3 memory.

As all second generation Core mobile processors, the Intel Core i3-2330M used by the Aspire 7750G-2334G50Mn also features an HD 3000 integrated GPU, but Acer has decided to pair this with a dedicated Radeon HD 6650M GPU featuring 1GB of on-board memory.

The rest of the features list is fairly standard and the notebook includes a DVD burner, a 1.3 megapixels webcam, Wi-Fi b/g/n and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity (Bluetooth is lacking) and a pair of speakers with Dolby Advanced Audio v2 certification.

On the connectivity side of things, Acer customers get a multi-format memory card reader, two USB 2.0 ports and a SuperSpeed USB 3.0 port, as well as HDMI and VGA video outputs.

The 17.3-inch LED-backlit screen has a native resolution of 1600x900 pixels and provides 220 nits of brightness, while the 6-cell 4400mAh battery included can keep the notebook running for up to 3 hours.

As mentioned before, Acer has priced the 2334G50Mn version of the Aspire 7750G at a rather low 499 Euros, which translates into about $680 US, and this is available from retailer such as Amazon France. (via Laptop Spirit)
