The tusk, sometimes known as the cusk, is a bottom-dwelling fish that prefers rocky habitats. It can be found from 100 to 1000 meters deep, but it is most prevalent between 200 and 500 meters. The meat is bright white and solid, making it ideal for frying and baking.
