Just months after leading the Buckeyes to the Final Four in 1968, Bill Hosket helped Team USA win gold in Mexico City. While Team USA preps for the 2008 gold medal game, watch Part 2 of a video interview with Hosket as he looks back at his ’68 gold.

Bill Hosket, a senior on Ohio State’s 1968 Final Four men’s basketball team, shared his experience playing for the United States in the Olympic Games recently.

Hosket, who won gold in the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City under legendary coach Henry Iba, was among a group of college all-stars representing the United States.

Michael Redd, one of three Ohio State players to wear the Red, White and Blue in Olympic competition, is one of 12 NBA all-stars currently vying for gold in Beijing. Jerry Lucas, who played for the Buckeyes from 1960-62, is the only other Ohio State men’s basketball player to compete in the Olympic Games for the United States.

Hosket describes the feeling of representing his country in international competition, training for the Olympics and winning the gold.
