Determined according to the botanical key provided in The Flora of the Republic of Macedonia (Micevski, 2001) as Vicia narbonensis var. serratifolia (Jacq.) Ser. (Vicia narbonensis subsp. serratifolia (Jacq.) Nyman). In The Euro+Med PlantBase (source: ILDIS World Database of Legumes, 2010) this taxon is accepted at the species rank: Vicia serratifolia Jacq.

Distribution: Native from the Mediterranean to Caucasus according to distribution information provided by the Plants of The World Online portal and The Euro+Med PlantBase (source: ILDIS World Database of Legumes, 2010).
Habitat: Found in grassland, on the edges of woods, alongside roads.
