Distribution: Native  from Europe to Caucasus according to to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal.

Habitat: Found in open habitats – grasslands/pastures, rocks, rocky terrains with shallow soil, sparse bushland.

Lifeform: Annual; Therophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Flowering period: Spring-summer: APR, MAY, JUN.
