TV host Elisabeth Hasselbeck and her husband, ex-jock Tim, have finally sold their Greenwich, Conn., home for $4.56 million. They’re moving south to a $2 million brick house in a Nashville, Tenn., suburb, Variety reports.
The Hasselbecks’ Colonial-style home in the heart of Greenwich sits on 1.5 level acres and features a pool, playhouses, covered porch and entertainment terraces. Inside, the seven-bedroom, 7,600-square-foot house has high ceilings and custom millwork, front-to-back entry hall, marble fireplaces and a mahogany library. The master suite has a fireplace, sitting room and his-and-her walk-in closets. There’s also a third-floor playroom with guest quarters.
The house originally went on the market in September for $4.8 million; the couple bought it in 2012 for $4.2 million, records show.
Variety says the celeb couple are decamping to the Belle Meade community outside Nashville, to a six-bedroom, six-bathroom house with a double-height foyer and screened porch with a brick fireplace. Property records indicate the couple closed on the house in mid-June for $2,030,000.
Why Nashville? “Someone like that could live anywhere,” real estate broker Steve Fridrich, who handled the sale, told The Tennessean. “They understand what’s going on in Nashville and want to be part of it.”
Hasselbeck, a noted conservative who famously squabbled with Rosie O’Donnell when they shared a table on ABC’s “The View,” is co-host on the “Fox & Friends” morning talk show. Her husband, Tim, was formerly a quarterback for the New York Giants, Washington Redskins, Philadelphia Eagles and Buffalo Bills. He’s now an ESPN sports analyst. The couple have three children.
