Dima Khalidi on Al Jazeera: The Cost of Speaking Out For Palestinian Rights

Palestine Legal director Dima Khalidi joined Marc Lamont Hill’s Al Jazeera show UpFront to discuss the ways false accusations of antisemitism are being used to silence support for Palestinian rights.

Dima appeared alongside Barry Trachtenberg, professor and chair of Jewish History at Wake Forest University.

“This really is about policing first and foremost Palestinian expressions of their own history, their own experiences, their own reality under Israeli oppression,” said Dima Khalidi, founder and director of Palestine Legal. “It also functions to make pariahs of anyone who stands in solidarity with them, who expresses support for Palestinian freedom, who criticizes Israel's own practices.”
