Weather control unit for KNX.

The KNX weather station reliably measures the temperature, rainfall, wind speed and brightness directly outside your front door. On the basis of these parameters, the building is able to automate and control individual functions depending on the weather. For example, this enables weather-based control of the blinds, shutters or lighting, protects the shading systems from damage and supports energy-efficient building technology. The sensors and the control unit communicate via data-protected bus protocol. With three integrated brightness sensors, the weather station allows you to create up to eight façades in the display and to provide shading using different programs, which take the sunlight into account depending on the time of day.

The Gira weather station consists of a weather sensor, weather control unit (DRA) and a mast mounting. The positioning of the sensors in the weather station has been carefully thought out. For example, the temperature sensor is positioned such that it will not be influenced by the heating of the rain sensor. The wind turbine on the underside records the wind irrespective of wind direction and also measures wind speed in icy and snowy weather. The capacitive rain sensor is resistant to dirt and reliably records precipitation. The transparent housing fits perfectly into the overall look of any house front of wood, concrete or Eternit and matches any colour design.
