PELHAM, NY — Pelham Manor is one of the best places in New York to raise a family, according to Niche.com's 2021 survey.

The rankings were based on public schools, crime rates, cost of living and family-friendly amenities. Data from the U.S. Census, FBI, Bureau of Labor Statistics and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention were also factored in.

In this year's rankings, one Hudson Valley community was listed among the top 100 places for families across the United States: Chappaqua, clocking in at No. 86 nationally.

On the list of top places for families in New York State, four communities in Westchester are in the top 20. Here are their state rankings.
