Whitefish Bay Ranked Among Wisconsin's Safest Cities

Whitefish Bay earns spot in state's top 50 for low crime rate, quality of life

WHITEFISH BAY - Mequon has earned bragging rights as the safest municipality in Wisconsin according to a national ranking, but Whitefish Bay makes the top 50.

Every year Safewise.com puts out its list of safest places to live. Their ranking system is based on crime numbers reported to the FBI by local municipalities.

The Town of Oconomowoc has earned the top spot in Wisconsin for the second year in a row.

Whitefish Bay is the hometown to Milwaukee Brewers skipper Craig Counsell and NFL referee Ed Hochuli, and was recently honored with having the top school in Wisconsin.

Today, the Village of Whitefish Bay is a predominantly single family residential community, covering an area of 2.4 square miles, with a population of approximately 14,000 people. The Village is home to over 4,800 residential properties and over 100 commercial properties.

Now that spring is here, you'd do well to take in some nature in Whitefish Bay's well-managed parks and green spaces. No trip is complete, however, without a visit to the nearby Bayshore Town Center.
