Has Wendie Malick discovered the fountain of youth?

The svelte and timeless actress turns 60 on Monday, but says she’s not phased by it.

“Aging is not scary, and Betty [White] is the greatest example,” Malick told PEOPLE of her Hot in Cleveland costar at the Help Group’s 14th Annual Teddy Bear Ball in Beverly Hills last week.

“Women don’t have an expiration date,” adds Malick “[Turning 60] could be a bit daunting. I wasn t sure how I would deal with it. But now I feel like I’m just hitting my stride. It’s all good – great husband, great friends, good life.”

And, of course, a great career. Malick – who has starred in many hit shows, including Frasier and Just Shoot Me – is currently shooting season two of TV Land’s Hot in Cleveland with White, Valerie Bertinelli and Jane Leeves.

Malick says her cast mates have been the perfect role models for embracing life at any age.

“I think we’ve all come to the realization that it’s sweeter the third and fourth time around,” says Malick, “or for Betty, the 20th time around.”
