Ice Dancer Tanith Belbin's Wedding Dress Photos: All the Exclusive Details on Her Ombré Gown

Tanith Belbin‘s wedding dress was way more traditional than the flashy outfits she wears on the ice — but it still had a unique twist. The 2006 silver medalist married fellow ice dancer Charlie White in a stunning strapless design featuring a pink ombré skirt!

“I purchased my wedding dress from The Gown Shop in downtown Ann Arbor,” Belbin, who married White in front of 130 members of their friends and family at the Planterra Conservatory in West Bloomfield, Michigan, tells PEOPLE. “It’s an ivory A-Line gown with a sweetheart neckline by Modern Trousseau.”

Belbin, 30, definitely wasn’t a Bridezilla about the bridal party looks, allowing her six bridesmaids (the groom’s three sisters, plus three friends including White’s skating partner Meryl Davis) to pick out their own styles.

“I asked them to just choose whatever dress they wanted in any shade of pink,” she shares. “They all went in different directions, which is exactly what I wanted. They are too unique to be dressed the same.”

Gold medalist White, 27, selected a classic black Ralph Lauren tuxedo. For their rings, the couple picked a thin platinum band with pavé diamonds for the bride and a plain platinum band for the groom.

“It was not surprising when we went to go choose it that he chose that one and wasn’t interested in trying on any others,” Belbin says. “He’s a traditional, classic guy.”
