Information
A climbing shrub, with tendrils; branchlets terete, blackish. Leaves shortly petioled, ovate or ovate-oblong, rounded or subcuneate at the base, 3–4 in. long, 1 1/2–2 in. broad, subcoriaceous, glabrous, shining on the upper surface. Cymes axillary, distinctly peduncled, many-flowered. Flowers 5-merous. Berry small, 1-seeded, greenish-yellow when dried. Seed much compressed, 1/2 in. long.
Distribution
Sierra Leone Upper Guinea near Bayabaya, on the River Scarcies, Scott-Elliot, 4292! and without precise locality, Afzelius!
