Cardopatium corymbosum occurs from S Italy through the S Balkan Peninsula and Anatolia to Cyprus and W Syria. It is a spiny perennial, very conspicuous in dry grassland in the middle and late summer, producing a dense, dome-shaped corymb of bright blue capitula.A
