Wynn Successfully Hosts the "Wynn Presents – 2023 Macau Snooker Masters" Championships

With the support of the Sports Bureau of the Macao SAR Government and jointly organized by StarMac Entertainment & Production Limited, Macao Billiards General Association and Sailing Up Sports, Wynn Resorts (Macau) S.A. hosted the "Wynn Presents – 2023 Macau Snooker Masters", and the final game took place today (December 29) at the Wynn Palace Grand Theater Ballroom, where Mark Williams was crowned champion.  

Renowned as the most influential professional snooker competition, the high-level Macao Masters tournament brought eight of the greatest snooker players in the world to Wynn Palace. After several days of intense competition, Mark Williams defeated Jack Lisowski 9-6 in the final, to win the Macau Snooker Masters title.

Mark Williams said of the tournament: "Overall, I played pretty well and am happy with the win! Jack played well too. The organizing of this event has been fantastic, and I'd like to thank everyone involved in putting this tournament together. Hopefully this will lead to a major ranking tournament on the tour, and I look forward to seeing you all again in Macao in future."

Mr. Pun Weng Kun, President of the Sports Bureau of Macao SAR Government, Ms. Linda Chen, President and Vice Chairman of the Board of Wynn Macau, Limited, Mr. Ryo Lou, Chief Executive Officer of StarMac Entertainment & Production Limited, Mr. Chan Chak Mo, Secretary General of the Sports and Olympic Committee of Macau, China and Mr. Ronnie O'Sullivan, the world's no.1 snooker player attended the awards ceremony today.  

By hosting events such as the Masters Invitational Tournament, Wynn aims to attract more top-tier sports events from around the world to give residents and visitors from around the world an opportunity to experience the unique culture of Macao's sporting events; advance the collaborative development of the city's tourism and leisure sports industries; solidify Macao's role as a World Center of Tourism and Leisure; and expand Macao's international tourism market.
