What Is Musa Sapientum Extract?

Banana extract is derived from the Musa sapientum, or banana.[1] The fruit grows on trees that are native to wet, tropical areas. Bananas and plantains are the fourth most cultivated crop in the world.[2]

What Does Musa Sapientum Extract Do in Our products?

Banana fruit extract is a skin-conditioner.[3,4] We use the ingredient in our bubble bath. However, banana extract can also be found in sunscreen, conditioner, moisturizer, toners and astringents, and many other products.[5,6]

Why Puracy Uses Musa Sapientum Extract

How Musa Sapientum Extract Is Made

Banana fruit extract is made by first drying the fruit. The result is then powdered. Ethanol is added, then the mix is evaporated using an evaporator.[7]
