Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken livers
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt the butter. Add the diced onion and minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.

  2. Add the chicken livers to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides. Season with thyme, salt, and pepper.

  3. While the livers are cooking, toast the bread slices until golden and crispy.

  4. Once the livers are cooked through, remove them from the skillet and set aside.

  5. Spread a generous amount of liver mixture onto each toast slice.

  6. Serve the chicken livers on toast hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
