This provides you with everything you need to start producing and recording your own music.
The required e-Licenser USB dongle is INCLUDED with the 10.5 Pro upgrade.
The Steinberg UR816C is the newest addition the Steinberg Audio Interface range and the perfect companion to any dedicated home or professional studio. It brings the popular UR series up to date with the latest hardware and connectivity.
New Additions
First and foremost, one of the biggest changes with this new range is the USB Type-C connectivity. This makes it fully compatible with the latest iPad, and improves latency with an all-new chip.
The UR816C is also capable of recording in 32-bit/192kHz providing unparalleled recording performance. Combined with the clean and reliable D-Pre preamps and Neutrik inputs, it makes for a fantastic sounding unit perfect for capturing any recording.
Connections
The UR816C is USB Type-C & USB 3 compatible, ensuring low latency and no performance loss.
There are 8x outputs for connecting to a host of monitors, as well as 2x headphone outputs. Included on the interface are 8x Mic/Line XLR/6.35mm Jack Combi ports, allowing for the simultaneous recording of 8 tracks. This is enough to record a whole band at once, or to mic up a drumkit. If more inputs are needed though there is an ADAT connection which can expand the capabilities up to 16 channels.
MIDI 5-Pin is also present for hooking up vintage hardware or external synths.
Software
Included with the UR816C is a host of software to get you up and running. Cubase AI is a basic but feature-packed version of Steinberg's industry-leading recording software, which can be upgraded to the Artist or Pro versions. Cubasis LE is also included with is Steinberg's iPad - variant of Cubase. Included are other plugins too such as reverb, a channel strip and a load of amp simulators.

Video Export Render
Cubase Pro 10.5 now supports video export including audio. It lets you render MP4 formats with H.264 compression and 16-bit stereo audio in 48 & 44.1kHz. You can export the whole video or a select range and can even add the timecode for collaboration.
MultiTap Delay
Multitap Delay is a new comprehensive delay plugin which allows for up to 8 delay taps which can all be individually edited for time, feedback, mix and more.
Padshop 2
Padshop 2 is the new version Steinberg's acclaimed granular synth. With a new UI, more sounds and presets, and now an arpeggiator, it's never been easier to create unique soundscapes and textures.
Colourised Mixer Channels
Channels in the mix console can now be assigned a colour to make workflow and readability easier and faster.
Import Tracks from Projects
In Pro 10.5, you can now browse and import audio from other projects, directly with your current session. You can also keep any FX or parametres intact when importing.
Safe Start Mode
Safe Start Mode allows you to load Cubase without any third-party plugins, making troubleshooting or diagnosing a problem easier to solve.
