    • Family: Callichthyidae
    • Origin: South America, Amazon River Basin
    • Adult length: 5.5 cm to 7 cm
    • Lifespan: 5 to 8 years
  2. Tank Setup:

    • Skunk Corys prefer a tank with soft, sandy substrate and plenty of hiding spots such as caves, driftwood, and plants.
    • Include live plants like Java ferns, Amazon swords, and floating plants to provide cover and mimic their natural habitat.
  3. Water Parameters:

    • Keep pH levels between 6.0 to 7.5.
  4. Filtration and Water Flow:

    • Use a gentle filtration system to ensure water flow is not too strong for Skunk Corys.
  5. Diet:

    • Offer a varied diet including sinking pellets, algae wafers, and small live or frozen foods like bloodworms and brine shrimp.
    • They are scavengers and will also graze on leftover food in the tank.
  6. Tank mates:

    • Skunk Corys are peaceful and do well with other peaceful community fish such as tetras, rasboras, and dwarf cichlids.
    • Avoid keeping them with aggressive or larger species that may intimidate them.
  7. Behavior and Compatibility:

    • Skunk Corys are social fish and should be kept in groups of at least six individuals.
    • They are bottom dwellers and spend most of their time scavenging for food in the substrate.
