Trichodiadema densum 'Mini Desert Rose' Highlights:

  • Trichodiadema densum 'Mini Desert Rose' is an ice plant that is commonly confused with a cactus due to the soft white bristles on the tips of its leaves. This clumping succulent only reaches 4" in height but spreads to form a dense mat.
  • This beautiful succulent will grow to form a large caudex and can be grown as a show stopping bonsai plant.
  • This winter bloomer produces large pink flowers.
  • Easily propagated from offsets.
  • Hardy to Zone 10 (30° F). Trichodiadema will not survive a hard frost. However, Trichodiadema can easily be grown indoors under grow lights or in a sunny window if there is a risk of temperatures dropping below 30° F.
Trichodiadema Care: As with all succulents, it is best to follow a "soak and dry" schedule where you water your plants deeply (until water runs out the bottom drain holes), and then allow your soil to dry completely before watering again. Succulents should always be planted in well-draining cactus and succulent soil and in a pot or container that has drain holes.
