Description
Introduced by the Stark Brothers in Missouri, 1944. Also known as the Scarlet Pimpernel. A sharp eater with plenty of juice, best eaten straight from the tree. Initially popular at markets for its flavour, but it's tendency to bruise easily led to its commercial demise. Makes for a great early eater or for juicing. For help with choosing the correct rootstock for your needs, please click here A Guide to Rootstocks
