Gilia capitata

Seen on Buena Vista and Cold Spring trails, blooming in March-May. Very prominent after the Cold Fire.

Finely divided leaves. No leaves above about 1 foot off the ground. Flowers in a cluster. Flowers generally have 5 petals (at least one had 6). 5 Stamens (even on flower with 6 petals). Three stigmas unite to form the pistil. Flowers whitish to light blue.
