    A Vinculum means a line placed above the numbers. it has many meanings such as follows - 1.A horizontal line placed over an expression to show that everything below the line is one group. Example: the horizontal line in the square root symbol that shows which values are part of the square root. 2.In some countries it is the horizontal line used to separate the numerator and denominator in a fraction, also called a "fraction bar". Example  3/4 3. A vinculum can indicate the repetend of a repeating decimal value.  Instead of 0.123123123  We can write it as shown in the picture.  4. In any mathematical sum always solve the Vinculum first then the BODMAS
