2005 BMW R 1150 GS Adventure
Ok we have had a nice run of older BMW GS’s through SUB lately. This 2005 BMW R 1150 GS Adventure has to be the nicest condition of all, all the little details are correct it seems. The 2005 GSA was the final limited run model year for this bike and this one came with the rare black colored engine option, we like that feature! It was purchased from its original owner in 2007 and at that time it had 9475 miles. It has been meticulously maintained over the years and all the service records were included. Its last annual service was performed by our good friends at SoSo Motorcycles in Fife August of 2021 at 27759 miles. It has all three OEM BMW aluminum cases and various protective parts from Touratech as well. It also came with a couple of boxes of accessories to go with the bike, highlights include: BMW ‘low’ seat, BMW tank bag, BMW battery trickle charger, BMW headlight brush guard, Wunderlich tank protector pad set, a couple of Touratech accessories and all the OEM parts and fasteners that were removed to install either more BMW OEM options or Touratech protective parts, plus a batch of spare parts. We sold 3 similar GSA models over the past 6 months, not one sat here long. We have owners manuals, 2 sets of factory keys and a clean WA title.
PRESS
The BMW R1150GS Adventure is the ultimate round-the-world, do it all motorcycle – as Ewan MacGregor and Charley Boorman proved in their ‘Long Way Round’ motorcycle adventure. The BMW R1150GS Adventure is a jacked up, kitted out, heavy duty version of the already excellent BMW R1150GS and is the Hummer of the motorcycle world. Awesome in every way. The BMW R1150GS Adventure is far better than it has any right to be. The BMW R1150GS Adventure is a tall, heavy and ungainly version of the already tall and beefy BMW R1150GS – but once you bin the standard equipment knobbly tires it’s a great road motorcycle with neutral (if hefty) handling and superb long distance ride and comfort. The BMW R1150GS Adventure is about as rugged and reliable as motorcycles get. Paint is good (although the logos etc are stickers that are not lacquered in come off far too easily), metal finishes are hard wearing. BMW R1150GS Adventures get a hard life – but they’re a well made motorcycle, too. Don’t worry about seemingly high mileages. It’s what these motorcycles were built for.
